When Jack Fulk, Sr.'s first Bojangles' opened on West Boulevard in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1977, it marked a new milestone in this country's fast food industry. He envisioned a fast food restaurant catering to the Cajun tastes of America. Mr. Fulk also envisioned a restaurant offering a variety of breakfast items and featuring fresh homemade buttermilk biscuits.
Incorporated in 1979, Tri-Arc Food Systems, Inc. is a licensee of Bojangles' Restaurants Inc. and one of the largest franchises in the Bojangles' system. The first of Tri-Arc's restaurants opened in Selma, NC in 1980 and since that time the company has expanded to 42 locations in the Triangle and Southern Virginia.
